Thirteen student teams from the degree programs "International Tourism Management B.A." (ISTM), "International Global Management B.A." (ISGM), "International Industrial Engineering B.Eng." (ISWI), "European Degree Programme in Business and Public Administration B.A." (ESWV) and "Electrical Engineering B.Eng." (ET) competed before a jury for the "Best Pitch Award" and "Pitch Performance Award."
The "Best Pitch Award" evaluated both the underlying business idea and presentation quality, while the "Pitch Performance Award" assessed presentation skills exclusively, independent of the business concept itself.
The student teams presented diverse innovative business ideas spanning sustainable living, health & wellness, and experiential learning: from platforms connecting garden spaces and safe travel communities, to products including modular drinking bottle systems and ergonomic home solutions, complemented by ventures in premium fitness cafés, AI-powered workplace wellness, sustainability education, and interactive cultural storytelling through board games and brick-built experiences.
In an exciting finale, the jury awarded the €300 award “Best Pitch Award”, sponsored by RTC Gruppe, to
MISSU – A conscious dessert brand reimagining classic tiramisu with customizable variants that offer caffeine-free, alcohol-free, and fully vegan options without compromising on authentic flavour.
The €150 award "Pitch Performance Award," sponsored by Förderverein der Fakultät Wirtschaftswissenschaften, is shared by two outstanding pitches:
Dermaprice – A startup developing premium natural soaps with a gamification approach to transform daily hygiene routines into an engaging wellness experience.
NORU – A digital health startup addressing widespread sleep disorders through innovative, science-backed interventions that combine behavioural therapy, personalised analytics, and adaptive technology.
The jury consisted of Helena Flindt (Startup Adviser RTC Gruppe, Founder of Custom Climax, ISGM Alumni), Verma Shivani (Digital Entrepreneur and IGC Alumni), and Prof. Dr. Christian Feddersen (School of International Business, HSB).
Throughout the winter semester, students worked intensively on validation, team building, business model development, market entry strategies, monetization, financing, and pitching techniques. The teams received additional expert support from Dr. Quynh Duong Phuong (University Bremen), Dr. Regine Komoss (HSB), Paulina Borchard (HSB), and Florian Münchow (Consultant) during a feedback presentation at FreiRAUM@HSB at the end December. Dr. Quynh Duong Phuong continued mentoring the teams through to the final showcase.
"Many thanks go to our coaches, jury members, and award sponsors who created a competitive setting mirroring the real startup ecosystem for our students," emphasises Prof. Dr. Martin Holi from Faculty 1 – Business Studies at Hochschule Bremen. "The results not only demonstrate our students' motivation and creativity but showcase their pronounced entrepreneurial spirit."
The event was hosted with support from DIGITAL HUB INDUSTRY (DHI) at Technologiepark Bremen.
