You have a business idea which you think could be your step into self-employment, but you are unsure how and where exactly you should start? Or have you perhaps already worked out a business concept and want to get started as soon as possible?
Are you working on application-oriented research, and do you need support in cooperation activities? Or do you have questions regarding patents or fundraising?
Then a start-up consultation is the opportunity for you to clarify ambiguities and general questions and to have your idea validated.
We accompany you throughout the entire start-up process, pointing out solutions and paving the way for you to take the step into self-employment with the right tools and concepts. In close dialogue with you, the start-up service checks whether your concept is coherent and how you can turn your project into reality.
The Hochschule Bremen is a partner in the network of the university initiative BRIDGE (Bremen University Initiative for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Thinking, Start-Ups and Entrepreneurship), the central point of contact for all questions relating to the topic of business start-ups at Bremen's universities, and offers students, academic staff and graduates a wide range of services:
There are various regional and national funding programmes available that provide content-related and financial support, e.g. through personnel, material or coaching resources. Here you will find a few examples. We will be happy to arrange a meeting with you to clarify which funding programme is suitable for your project. We also offer support in the application process and accompany you during the funding period.

If you are considering applying for the EXIST programme, please contact us as early as possible. As part of the application documents, a "Start-up Network Statement" must be included. In order for this to be provided, a timely exchange on the planned project is essential. In the case of an EXIST research-transfer application, a pitch to the advisors of the start-up network is also required, which must be scheduled in good time. Therefore, please contact us at least 8 weeks before the submission deadline!
In addition to BRIDGE, there are many network partners who are committed to supporting start-ups in Bremen. In addition, there is a broad community of start-ups, founders and those who would like to become one.
