WiA - Women in Architecture Festival 2025

WiA Festival Café Bremen

Am 18. Juni 2025 um 18:00 Uhr eröffnet die Fakultät Architektur, Bau und Umwelt der Hochschule Bremen das WiA Festival Café Bremen in der AB-Galerie am Standort Neustadtswall. Organisiert von und mit Studierenden, ist das Café Teil des bundesweiten Women in Architecture Festivals 2025 (WiA 2025). Das Festival, das vom 19. bis 29. Juni 2025 stattfindet, rückt die Leistungen von Frauen in Architektur, Stadt- und Freiraumplanung sowie Bauingenieurwesen in den Fokus und thematisiert Diversität in der Baukultur.

Welche Bedeutung haben Role-Models für meine Person? Welche Wirkung können Frauen* in der Baubranche entfalten? Gibt es Hinweise von Ungleichbehandlungen in der Stadt, im Alltag, im Arbeitsleben von weiblich gelesenen Personen aus dem Feld des Bauwesens – und wenn ja, warum? Welche Bedeutung entfalten Leitbilder wie “Caring Cities”, “Solidarische Stadt” oder “15-Minuten Stadt” für meine Mitmenschen und mich? Was hat Feminismus in der Planungskultur mit meiner Person und meinem Arbeitsalltag zu tun?

Mit diesen und weiteren Fragen werden Studierende der School of Architecture und der Abteilung Bau + Umwelt an der Hochschule Bremen (HSB) während der Festivalzeit ein Festival-Café betreiben und zu gemeinsamen Gesprächen einladen. Zudem werden ausgewählte Inhalte einzelner WiA-Veranstaltungen in anderen Städten für die Café-Gäste aufbereitet, um die Themen des bundesweiten WiA-Festivals in Bremen sichtbar zu machen und neue, überregionale Banden zu bilden.

Das Bremer WiA-Festival-Café wird im Rahmen eines Seminars in den Studiengängen Architektur und Bauingenieurwesen geplant und betrieben. Die Vorplanung stammt von Maja Rohloff, Studentin an der School of Architecture Bremen.
