Das Forschungsvorhaben SeeOff hat zum Ziel, die am Rückbau beteiligten Unternehmen zu befähigen, effiziente Rückbaustrategien zu ermitteln. Rückbaustrategien sind effizient, wenn sie kostengünstig sind, alle rechtlichen Vorgaben erfüllen, mit einer hohen Arbeitssicherheit und Akzeptanz einhergehen sowie den Schutz der Umwelt gewährleisten. Das interdisziplinäre Verbundprojekt setzt sich aus Forschungseinrichtungen, Industriepartnern und einem breit aufgestellten Beirat zusammen. Gemeinsam werden die Rahmenbedingungen für den Rückbau identifiziert, Vorgehen zur Entwicklung und Analyse von Rückbaustrategien gestaltet und Verbesserungspotentiale aufgezeigt.
