Research cluster Region im Wandel

Im Projekt Soil4Cities plant die Hochschule Bremen den Aufbau eines internationalen Konsortiums, die Durchführung einer internationalen Konferenz und die gemeinsame Einreichung einer Projektskizze im EU-Rahmenprogramm Horizon Europe im Herbst 2025. Themen des geplanten EU-Antrags sind die bodensensible Stadtentwicklung sowie ein integrierter baulicher Bodenschutz und urbane Bodengesundheit. Ziel ist es, in einem internationalen Verbund kontextspezifische Strategien gegen das Ausmaß und die Ursachen der Bodendegradierung in lateinamerikanischen Städten und Stadtregionen zu identifizieren und praxisorientierte, skalierbare Lösungen für den urbanen Bodenschutz in die Umsetzung zu führen. Diese sollen gemäß des Living-Lab-Ansatzes der EU zusammen mit der Zivilgesellschaft entwickelt, gestaltet und ausgeführt werden. Nach der Einreichung der Skizze ist die Organisation und Durchführung einer internationalen Konferenz zum Thema „Bodensensible Stadtentwicklung, integrierter baulicher Bodenschutz und urbane Bodengesundheit“ geplant. Diese dient der Stärkung des Konsortiums und einer besseren Sichtbarkeit der Arbeitsgruppe und des Konsortiums im internationalen Raum. Zudem sollen bei der Veranstaltung weitere mögliche gemeinsame Projekte diskutiert werden.
