STARS EU: Blended Intensive Programme in Portugal bereichert HSB-Teilnehmende

Es ist ein internationales Programm, das Studierenden und Lehrenden der Hochschule Bremen (HSB) zahlreiche Möglichkeiten für einen wissenschaftlichen, methodischen und interkulturellen Austausch bietet: Im Rahmen der Hochschulallianz STARS EU (Strategic Alliance for Regional Transition European University) können Angehörige unter anderem das Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) „Circular Bioeconomy" als internationales Lehrmodul wahrnehmen. Dies haben Lehrende und Studierende der HSB in diesem Sommersemester bereits zum 2. Mal realisiert – und waren begeistert.

BIPs sind in der Hochschulallianz STARS EU kurze intensive Lehrformate – in der Regel im Umfang von einem Modul. Sie ermöglichen die Internationalisierung von Studienprogrammen auch jenseits von vollständigen Auslandssemestern. Das BIP „Circular Bioeconomy" wurde gemeinsam mit den Partnerhochschulen Hanze Hogeschool Groningen (Niederlande), der Technischen Universität Krakau (Polen) und der HSB unter Federführung des Instituto Polytecnico de Braganca (Portugal) entwickelt. Es besteht aus Online-Vorlesungen zu verschiedenen Aspekten der Circular Bioeconomy, einem studentischen Projekt, welches in interdisziplinären und internationalen Teams bearbeitet wird sowie einer Kurzzeitmobilität, während der die Projekte weiterentwickelt werden. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anja Noke (HSB, Fak. 2) hielt hierbei on-line Vorlesungen zu den Themen "Introduction into Bioeconomy" sowie "Biotechnology in Bioeconomy" und betreute die studentischen Projekte.

Die Mobilität fand Ende Juni 2023 für eine Woche in Braganca statt. Insgesamt nahmen in diesem Jahr mehr als 30 Studierende aus 10 europäischen Hochschulen teil. Aus Bremen waren vier Studierende des englischsprachigen Masterstudiengangs „Zukunftsfähige Energie- und Umweltsysteme“ sowie vier Studierende des Internationalen Bachelorstudiengangs Bionik mit dabei.
