Application and Admission

We’re glad to hear that you’re interested in studying at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences!

The application period for the winter semester 2021/22 is from
July 1 to July 31, 2021
. This is a one-time application period.

You can find out which degree programmes start in the winter semester on the respective degree programme pages.

There are different application deadlines for the degree programmes offered through the International Graduate Center (IGC) and for the degree programme Electronics Engineering M.Sc..

Application for a Bachelor's degree programme

First semester
If you have a German higher education entrance qualification and meet the admission requirements, register with the portal hochschulstart.de and then apply via CampInO.

Dual study programme
If you have successfully signed a training or study contract with a partner company of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences, register in CampInO.

Application with foreign university entrance qualification

If you have a foreign higher education entrance qualification and meet the admission requirements as well as the language qualifications, apply via uni-assist.de (probably starting in May 2021).
The VPD - preliminary review documentation is a certificate from uni-assist. The VPD contains information about

• which certificates you have submitted to uni-assist
• what sort of higher education entrance is possible in Germany
• how your grade is classified in the German grading system

Once you have received the VPD from uni-assist, you can use it to apply directly to the Bremen University of Applied Sciences. Please upload the VPD in the CampInO application portal when you apply. The processing time of the application at Uni-Assist is approx. 4 to 6 weeks. Therefore, plan enough time for your application and apply for the VPD as early as possible.


Higher semester - as an advanced student
If you have a German university entrance qualification, you can register and apply via CampInO.

If you meet the admission requirements of the degree programme and you can provide evidence of at least three creditable modules with a total of 18 ECTS.

If you have studied the same degree programme at Bremen University of Applied Sciences before, you must apply as an advanced student in any case.



Application for a Master's programme

Consecutive Master's programmes
If you have a German Bachelor's degree and meet the admission requirements of the degree programme, register and apply via CampInO.

If you hold a foreign Bachelor's degree and meet the admission requirements of the degree programme as well as the language qualifications, apply for the VPD - preliminary review documentation via uni-assist. The VPD contains information about.



MBA and Master's programmes at the International Graduate Center
Please apply directly to the International Graduate Center (IGC) Center and register in CampInO, but only after you have received admission and paid the deposit.

Please apply directly to the programme MScEE and register in CampInO after successful admission and deposit.

Under the name HERE AHEAD, the public universities in the state of Bremen offer preparatory programmes for international applicants.
The preparatory study programme :prime is aimed at prospective students whose school-leaving certificate entitles them to attend a "Studienkolleg" (indirect university entrance qualification). In addition to language and extracurricular preparation, :prime students also receive subject-specific preparation for the entrance examination. After successful completion, they can apply to a university in the state of Bremen.
