Entwicklung und Erprobung einer kabellosen Schnittstelle zur Übertragung von Datenpaketen und elektrischer Energie im Weltraum. Als Entwicklungsplattform wird ein 2U CubeSAT verwendet. Der CubeSAT ist unterteilt in eine Nutzlast- und eine Versorgungseinheit. Die Versorgungseinheit spiegelt alle typischen Satellitensysteme wie Energieversorgung, Kommunikation, Lageregelung u.a. wider. Die Nutzlasteinheit beinhaltet die kabellose Schnittstelle sowie ein Experiment, welches mit elektrischer Energie versorgt werden muss. In diesem Fall ist das Experiment eine Kamera. Die Kamera dient als Demonstrator für die Verifizierung der kabellosen Schnittstelle. Für nachfolgende Missionen kann die Nutzlast (das Experiment) im Rahmen der Schnittstellenspezifikation frei definiert werden, um verschiedene Nutzlasten mit der Versorgungseinheit zu verbinden. In Anlehnung an die erfolgreichen Höhenforschungsraketenprojekte der Hochschule Bremen mit Namen – AQUASONIC I und AQUASONIC II – soll der interdisziplinäre Ansatz und die intensive Zusammenarbeit zwischen Fakultät 4 und Fakultät 5 fortgeführt werden. Somit ist die Wahl des Projektnamens auf AQUACube gefallen, um die erfolgreiche Projektarbeit weiter zu führen.
