Im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts wird eine internationale Konferenz über die Maßnahmen zur Erreichung der Green-Deal-Ziele (55-%-Reduzierung von Treibhausgasen bis 2030 und Klimaneutralität der EU bis 2050) durchgeführt. „Extreme Events“ wie der Krieg in der Ukraine, die Covid-Pandemie und Extremwetterphänomene lassen neue Aspekte und Herausforderungen für den „Übergang zu einer modernen, ressourceneffizienten und wettbewerbsfähigen Wirtschaft“ in den Fokus rücken, die interdisziplinär und anwendungsorientiert mit regionalen und internationalen Partner:innen erforscht werden sollen. Auf diese Weise soll u.a. herausgearbeitet werden, welche Maßnahmen auf regionaler Ebene ergriffen werden müssen, um den Green Deal umzusetzen. In der Konferenz werden dabei insbesondere die folgenden Themen adressiert: - Ausgestaltungen des rechtlichen Rahmens - Notwendige Rahmenbedingungen für Unternehmen, damit diese unabdingbaren Beitrag zum Green Deal leisten und zugleich wettbewerbsfähig bleiben können - Vorbildfunktion der öffentlichen Hand im Land Bremen. Durch die Publikation eines Konferenzbandes werden die Ergebnisse einem breiten Publikum nutzbar gemacht, die internationale Forschung wird so weiter vorangetrieben. Das Projekt leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Profilierung des Clusters DTX der Hochschule Bremen, da es mehrere Clusterschwerpunkte adressiert (Umwelt und Energie, Nachhaltigkeit, Verkehr und Logistik sowie Recht und Wirtschaft).
