Vor dem Hintergrund der neuen Klärschlammverordnung und der zukünftigen Phosphor-Rückgewinnungspflicht ist das Ziel des Vorhabens, eine robuste, mobile (dezentrale) Pyrolyseanlage in Containergröße (40ft) zur Behandlung von Klärschlämmen inkl. Phosphorrückgewinnung zur landwirtschaftlichen Verwertung sowie ein Tool zur Bilanzierung der ganzheitlichen Umweltwirkungen zu entwickeln. Die angestrebte technische Innovation der Pyrolyseanlage ist die Implementierung eines hohen Automatisierungs- und Überwachungsgrades in die geplante Prototypenanlage, um optimale Pyrolyseprozesse bis zur vollständigen Verkokung von Klärschlämmen erzielen zu können. Dadurch soll das Risiko einer spontanen Selbstentzündung der Kohle bei der Lagerung verhindert werden. Die Kohle soll nicht bewässert werden müssen, so dass sie ohne erneute Trocknung unmittelbar als schadstoffarmes Düngemittel verwendet werden kann. Die Mobilität der Anlage ermöglicht den dezentralen Betrieb in einer Kläranlage direkt an der Klärschlammsammelstelle. So werden unnötige LKW-Transportwege vermieden, was eine Erhöhung der Wirtschaftlichkeit und eine weitere CO2-Einsparung zulässt.
