In the field of reinforced concrete construction, engineering knowledge is imparted on calculation, design and construction with the composite materials concrete, reinforcing steel and prestressing steel. In addition to the criteria of the ultimate limit state, the serviceability and durability of load-bearing structures are addressed. The knowledge is imparted in lectures and by means of practical examples.
In the course of the three-semester courses, the functions of all major structural components such as beams, slabs, columns, foundations, etc. are presented and explained.
The aim is to enable students to carry out practical structural design and construction in reinforced concrete in their future careers.
