The STARS EU Student Board and the Centre for Teaching and

Learning/StudiumPlus at HSB invite to an Online Workshop about the

Dos and Don'ts of Digital Accessibility in Social Media:

 

Why should you pay attention to accessibility? How do you create

accessible posts? What about images and emojis? The input will be

followed by a Q&A session.

 

In addition of having an extensive scientific and publishing experience, Maria Jerez is an accessibility and multimedia specialist at the Publications Office of the European Union, and member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, by which she is a certified web and document accessibility specialist. Members of HSB, and all STARS EU partner universities (students and staff)

For HSB-students:

This online workshop can be attended together with the in-person workshop on TikTok on Saturday, 13 December and have both workshops credited with 0.5 ECTS as part of the flexi module in your elective area. Objective

The goal of this workshop is to familiarize participants with the basics of digital accessibility in social media and show them how to make their posts accessible to all users. Special emphasis will be placed on the correct use of images, emojis, and other elements to avoid creating barriers for people with diverse needs.

The workshop is organised in cooperation with the Student Board of STARS EU, the European University Alliance of HSB.
