Professor Verena Beckhusen
Personal detail Ms. Verena Beckhusen is an internationally experienced business consultant, coach, lecturer, language trainer and skilled communications specialist. After her graduation from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen in „International Studies of Global Management“ she worked in the corporate world for more than a decade, mainly dealing with strategy, project management, organizational development as well as business communications and public relations.

In addition to her comprehensive practical work experience, Verena successfully accomplished the „International Gestalt Organization and Leadership Development Program (iGOLD, www.gestaltod.org)“ in 2020.

As a passionate freelancer she now predominantly focuses on supporting small and medium-sized businesses as well as on young people being eager to enhance their individual career paths.

Content

Students are provided with a broad overview on organizational behaviour. Possible approaches from the individual, group and organizational level are subject to study.

 

This includes a.o. personality, diversity, attribution, learning, motivation, rewards, performance management, team performance, leadership theories, decision making, communication, organizational culture and structure as well as strategic capabilities of organizations.

Target group

The course addresses primarily international students from all faculties (Bachelor and Master level), but other students are welcome.

Objective

The course enables students to analyze and assess organizational behaviour and to identify crucial points for improving an organization’s effectiveness related to psycho-social and structural aspects.
