Gleicher Lohn für gleiche Arbeit? – Wie die EU-Entgelttransparenzrichtlinie den Gender Pay Gap senken kann

Frauen verdienen in Bremen 4,86 Euro pro Stunde weniger als Männer. Der Gender Pay Gap liegt hier bei 19 Prozent (2023). Eine deutliche Verbesserung hat sich in den letzten Jahren trotz gesetzlicher Maßnahmen zur Lohntransparenz nicht ergeben. Und auch in den Betrieben wird Lohngleichheit noch zu wenig diskutiert, eingefordert und umgesetzt.

Die neue EU-Richtlinie zu Entgelttransparenz fordert, dass alle Staaten der EU bis spätestens Juni 2026 Wege finden müssen, die sicherstellen, dass Frauen und Männer für gleiche Arbeit auch den gleichen Lohn erhalten. Das in Deutschland 2017 in Kraft getretene Gesetz zur Förderung der Entgelttransparenz zwischen Frauen und Männern (EntgTranspG) wird den Anforderungen der Richtlinie nicht gerecht und muss angepasst werden.

In der Veranstaltung gehen wir der Frage nach, welche Auswirkungen die neue EU-Richtlinie auf das deutsche Recht hat. Dabei setzen wir uns damit auseinander, inwiefern die Umsetzung der Richtlinie die Durchsetzung des Anspruchs auf gleichen Lohn für gleiche Arbeit erleichtert und was die neuen Regeln für Unternehmen bedeuten.
