The Erasmus+ programme supports you with:
Good to know: an Erasmus+ funded internship is also possible after the end of enrolment. (Further information can be found in the section ‘Funding for graduates’.)
The information applies to mobility activities funded through the 2025/26 and 2026/27 Erasmus projects. Further funding rates can be found on the NA DAAD website. The amount of the monthly scholarship depends on your destination country. In the 2026/27 Erasmus+ project, a distinction is made between three country categories (as in the 2025/26 project), based on the cost of living in each country. In addition, you can apply for a social top-up of €250 per month and you will receive a travel allowance based on the distance traveled. You can find more details on the following NA DAAD website.
Important change for the 2026/27 project year: To ensure that all students can receive funding, we unfortunately are forced to limit the funding duration for mobility periods in the 2026/27 project year, as was the case in the 2025/26 project year. Due to limited funds, we are no longer able to provide financial support to “working students” through a social top-up.
Limit for the 2026/27 project year: Study stays of less than 4 months are funded on a daily basis; study stays between 4 and 8 months (120–239 days) are funded at a flat rate for 4 months (120 days). Study stays of more than 8 months (240 days or more) are funded at a flat rate for 8 months (240 days).
Limit for the 2025/26 academic year: Study stays of less than 4 months are funded on a daily basis; study stays between 4 and 6 months (120–179 days) are funded at a flat rate for 4 months (120 days). Study visits between 6 and 8 months (180–239 days) are funded at a flat rate for 6 months (180 days), and study visits lasting more than 8 months (240 days or more) are funded at a flat rate for 8 months (240 days).
You can apply for an Erasmus+ grant for a traineeship abroad all year round! Submit your application up to one month before the start of the traineeship! Subsequent applications are not possible.
You can also receive funding for a traineeship abroad through Erasmus+ if you have already completed your studies. However, you must apply for the scholarship while you are still enrolled at the HSB. The traineeship must be carried out and completed within 12 months of graduation. Graduate internships between bachelor's and master's degrees (provided the latter is already planned) are not eligible for funding.
The funding for the traineeship will be counted towards the twelve-month mobility quota for the study phase in which you submitted the application.
