AULIS

AULIS is HSB's central learning and collaboration system for online support of studying and teaching. It is used to complement classroom teaching and for web-based studying.

AULIS

AULIS provides functions that can be used to plan and carry out typical teaching and learning activities online, particularly for the following processes:

  • Room and team organisation (courses, groups, folders, booking pools, etc.)
  • Provision of multimedia knowledge resources (weblinks, files, etc.)
  • Creation of web-based learning content (wikis, learning modules, mediacasts, etc.)
  • Synchronous/asynchronous communication and cooperation (email, forums, web conferences, etc.)
  • Evaluation and assessment (surveys, exercises, online tests, etc.)
  • Competence reflection and presentation (blogs, portfolios, etc.)

The LehrePlus (ZLL) team offers workshops on how to use AULIS and its various functions: LehrePlus Workshops

The Structure in AULIS

AULIS has a fixed structure that is the same for all faculties and degree programmes. This not only makes it easier to find courses and groups, but also allows digital processes to be automated in the future.

In the repository you will find:

  1. The faculties
These contain subcategories with the respective degree programmes.
A uniform structure is particularly important here so that students can quickly find their course rooms (courses & groups) at the beginning of a new semester.
  2. Degree programme
In the respective degree programmes, you will find the following subcategories:
Current course: Summer semester 202x or winter semester 202y/2z
    General information
    Further offers
    Past courses

Teachers currently create their own courses in these categories. The sorting is then ‘Alphabetical by title, ascending’.

At the end of the lecture period, when transitioning to the new semester, we, the ZLL move the entire SoSe or WiSe category to past courses. However, all courses and groups remain visible as usual on the individual dashboard and under your own favourites. We also create the new categories for the following semester at the end of the current semester.

If you have any questions, please contact Katharina Riebe.

Please note that AULIS must not be used for archiving purposes. You are responsible for backing up your examination results, final theses and other important documents. If you have any questions or uncertainties, please contact your faculty administration.

External AULIS Accounts

We set up AULIS user accounts for teaching collaborations.

To do so, as a member of Hochschule Bremen, please send an email with the completed table (see below) to zll-support@hs-bremen.de with the subject line: Collaboration accounts. Access details will be sent automatically by email.

Please note: An ‘AULIS collaboration account’ does not include access to Wi-Fi, library resources or the university's examination management system. This account is always limited to one year (unless another term is agreed) and can be extended by HSB members by emailing the completed table if required.
