    • How do you find your way in the professional world?
    • Where were there difficulties?

Current information

The current survey in the winter semester 2024/25 for year 23 started in October 2024. It is aimed at all Bachelor and Master graduates who graduated from Bremen University of Applied Sciences in the 2023 academic year (WiSe 22/23 and SoSe 23).

You can find the link to the questionnaire here: https://koab.istat.de/p/bremen_hs/

Did you graduate between October 1st, 2022 and September 30st, 2023 and can no longer be reached at your old address or email address? Then we would be pleased if you sent us your current contact details (postal address and email address) to evaluation@hs-bremen.de. This way you can ensure that you can take part in the HSB graduate survey.

The next graduate survey will take place between October 2025 and February 2026.

Frequently asked Questions (FAQ)

  • The email addresses used were provided by the student and examination management system CampInO at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. The stored address data will not be used for any purposes other than invitations and reminders to take part in the graduate survey. The address data is processed exclusively by employees of Bremen University of Applied Sciences and is not passed on to third parties.

  • In any case, you are one of the graduates whose information we are very interested in! In the study, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences not only examines the professional activities of its graduates, but also whether and in which further study programs they are currently enrolled. This information will help current and future students decide which path they would like to take. In addition, the results of the survey will be used to improve the quality of teaching and study conditions at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. With your feedback looking back on your studies, you will help us to continuously ensure the high quality of teaching at our university.

  • You can easily participate online. To do this, use the link below and enter your personal and randomly generated access code, which will be sent to you by email, in the field provided in the online questionnaire. By automatically checking the access codes used, you can find out who has already responded. These graduates will then not be contacted again.

You can access the online questionnaire here: https://koab.istat.de/p/bremen_hs/

  • The Institute for Applied Statistics (ISTAT) coordinates the nationwide graduate study and supports the over 70 participating universities in conducting and evaluating the survey. The ISTAT receives the answered questionnaires, but not your contact details. Further information on the graduate studies cooperation project (KOAB) can be found on the ISTAT website: https://istat.de/service/projekte/kooperationsprojekt-absolventenstudien-koab

  • Within a university, different issues arise at each level and department. For example, those responsible for the degree programs would like to derive specific optimization measures for individual degree programs, while the university management keeps an eye on overarching quality aspects. The student advisory service and/or the career service would like to use the feedback from the graduates to inform the advisory services. The International Office would like to receive feedback on the effects of any stay abroad on the professional careers of graduates. And other central bodies are interested in the effect that the university has on the regional pool of skilled workers. In addition to these questions, which arise in each individual university, some other central questions in university research and educational monitoring are also covered.

This prevents graduates from being invited to numerous different surveys at multiple times, which together would mean significantly more effort for the graduates.

  • The results are incorporated into the quality development of studies and teaching at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. The departments at Bremen University look forward to any evaluation and constructive criticism that will help you improve the study conditions and teaching. Your answers are very welcome and will be used for continuous improvement. The Center for Teaching and Learning is dedicated to this task in collaboration with the quality management of Bremen University of Applied Sciences, which, in the event of a need for action, will develop measures to further develop the study offerings of Bremen University of Applied Sciences based on the survey results together with the respective departments, institutes and facilities.

In addition, the anonymous data is used for cross-university scientific studies, although ISTAT publications do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual universities or individuals.
