On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Bremen Chamber of Architects, the Bremen City Dialogue will discuss the question: How does the state of Bremen cope with the challenges? The Bremen Center for Building Culture and the School of Architecture Bremen cordially invite you to the panel discussion on June 30, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Hochschule Bremen.
In 1972, the Club of Rome published its report on the "Limits to Growth". The year in which the Bremen Chamber of Architects was founded thus also signifies the beginning of a social reorientation, from the belief in progress of the late 1960s to a new awareness of sustainability and the scarcity of resources. After 50 years, the consequences are shaping planning and building in a very concrete way. More than ever, planners are juggling between a multitude of requirements: On the one hand, new construction must be designed to be sustainable; on the other hand, existing buildings and infrastructures must be renewed and adapted. The Bremen Urban Dialogue poses the question: How does the state of Bremen cope with these challenges?
