Dr. Hylton Villet

Founder of the NGO The Last Mile First
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Hylton Villet to our university for a guest talk on community-driven entrepreneurship and sustainable development in underserved rural communities.
As founder of The Last Mile First, Dr. Villet and his team work to promote entrepreneurship development for rural youth, improve access to essential services, and support sustainable livelihoods through strong community engagement and innovative partnerships.
The Last Mile First believes that real sustainability begins with understanding people’s needs and serving underserved communities with dignity, environmental awareness, and practical action.
The talk will also present the ongoing Namibian-german research collaboration developed over the past two years between Dr. Hylton Villet and Dr. Regine Komoss. What began as a shared interest in entrepreneurship and community development has grown into a trust-based partnership characterized by continuous exchange, joint field research, and an increasingly intensive collaboration.
We warmly invite students, researchers, colleagues, and everyone interested in entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social impact to join us.
Dr. Regine Komoss
