Dear First Year ISMN Student,
Congratulations and welcome onboard! You are about to embark on an exciting new phase of your life that will bring many invaluable opportunities with it. We are happy to welcome you to our study program "International Ship Management – Nautical Sciences".
You certainly have many questions about how your studies will be organized. We will clarify the answers together during the first days here at the University. We are happy to first give you some information for the start of your journey.
We cordially invite you to meet us at the official welcome to the new academic year on Thursday, 05th of October at 10:30 at our campus AIR/PORT/LAB (APL) in Flughafendamm 40 in Room 113. The team of professors and lecturers as well as the students from the higher semesters are looking forward to meeting you and showing you our campus.
We will show you around, introduce you the study program briefly, have lunch together on Campus Werderstrasse where our simulators are located. Afterwards, your fellow students will help you to set up your account in Aulis (our learning management system), activate your student email addresses and answer your questions. Therefore, please bring your laptop/tablet together with the letter you received from the Registrar’s Office with you.
I would also like to inform you that the Bremen Shipping Congress will be held here at the APL on 10 and 11 October. You are cordially invited. You can find more information here: https://www.deutscher-schifffahrtskongress.de/
It would be very nice if you can confirm your attendance for both days through sending an email to ismn.service@hs-bremen.de. If you have any questions, please contact our office at nautik@hs-bremen.de or give a call under +49 (421) 5905-4600. You can also send your questions to ismn.service@hs-bremen.de which is supported by our experienced students.
