studying with a disability
A disability or chronic illness should not be an barrier to completing an internship or semester abroad—at least not if you yourself want to go abroad.
In order to meet the deadlines for applying for foreign BAföG, financing additional needs due to disability, or various scholarships, two years of preparation and planning are necessary. General information about the conditions for barrier-less study abroad is often already available on the respective university website. However, the individual conditions for students on site should be clarified with the responsible contact person by email or phone.
Within the university, students should contact the International Office to prepare and plan for an internship or semester abroad. Here, they can obtain information about the university's existing contacts, special support programs, and initial advice on organizational issues.
