Orientation Week

Welcome to Bremen and to HSB! During our orientation week you will receive information and help with:

obtaining the student ID, semester ticket and the certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung),
questions regarding the health insurance coverage with representatives of German health insurance companies,
getting access to Wi-Fi via Eduroam at HSB,
living and studying in Bremen,
on how to stay save in Bremen,
city registration and on getting the residence permit (if necessary),
access and use of applications such as AULIS, VPN, CampInO and more.

Your preparation for the orientation week

Check if you have done all necessary steps:

Completion of online enrolment
Payment of semester fees
Upload of visa (if applicable)

Please bring a passport photo so you can use your semester ticket immediately.

Orientation week programme

You need to register for the following activities:

Get your semester documents (09.10./ 10.10.) via an appointment tool,
Bremen bike tour on Friday (13.10.) via email: international-office@hs-bremen.de,
Bremen city tour on Saturday (14.10.) via email: international-office@hs-bremen.de.

10:00-12:00: Welcome session (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room AB 516, 5th floor),

12:00 - 14:00: Get your semester documents (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, foyer, 1st floor),

15:00: TK health insurance online info session (for students insured with TK, link to session),

17:00-21:00: German get together (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room AB 516, 5th floor).
11:00 - 13:00: Get your semester documents (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, foyer, 1st floor),

15:00 - 17:00: German Language Café (A1) (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room AB 516, 5th floor),

17:00 Meet'n greet with the Local Erasmus Initiative LEI (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room S11/S12, 10th floor).
10:00 - 14:00: Faculties 1 - 5 welcome and info session (You will be informed of the location by your faculty coordinator),

15:00 - 17:00: German Language Rallye - A2, B1 & B2 (Meeting point: City centre at main stairs of the Bremen cathedral).
10:00 - 13:00: Team building event (Neustadtswall Campus, outside/ in front of the canteen),

14:00: TK health insurance online info session (for students insured with TK, link to session),

19.00: Pub Crawl with the LEI through the Viertel (meeting point announced by the LEI)
11:30-15:00: Bremen bike tour (limited number of participants - registration via email, Neustadtswall Campus, in front of the canteen),

17:00-21:00: Café International (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room AB 516, 5th floor).
11:40-15:00: Bremen city tour (limited number of participants - registration via email, meeting at Domtreppen/ main stairs of the Bremen cathedral)

Evening: Party with the LEI (Neustadtswall Campus, AB building, room S11/S12, 10th floor, time will be announced by the LEI)
