At the end of October, Hochschule Bremen (HSB) hosted the HEI: Developments in Teaching and Learning', as part of the STAR EU Alliance. Spanning two days, the event featured inspiring exchanges and presentations focusing on student self-development, lifelong learning, impact research, and the implementation of innovative teaching and learning methods.
The conference focused on networking and knowledge exchange between partners. Current research findings on developments, initiatives and challenges in the strategic positioning of higher education institutions in the field of teaching and learning were discussed. The need to create suitable learning environments, support teachers in implementing innovative teaching methods, promote student support and improve regional exchange and impact was emphasised, among other things. As was highlighted in the discussions, in addition to practical experience, research-based dialogue contributes to the strategic development of universities.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) at HSB made several contributions and played a key role in shaping the discussions:
International guests from the STARS EU partner universities Silesian University in Opava (Czechia), University West (Sweden) and Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) also made exciting and informative contributions on relevant topics.
