Developments at universities: International research workshop with STARS EU partners

Researchers from Hochschule Bremen - City University of Applied Sciences (HSB) and the Swedish STARS EU partner University West (Trollhättan), will meet for a research workshop at HSB on 9 and 10 November 2026.

The aim is to facilitate an open exchange within the context of higher education research on the topic of ‘Developments in Higher Education’. The approximately 25 participants will discuss various levels: contributions at the micro-level (teaching design, didactic formats, learning), the meso-level (organisational design, strategy and governance) and the meta-level (educational policy considerations, framework conditions and legislation, as well as labour market perspectives). Particular attention is being paid to universities of applied sciences.

The event is being organised by Prof. Dr Annika Maschwitz and her team from the SLW@HAW project at the Centre for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) at HSB, together with the TIG management team for ‘Education and Learning in and for a New Working Life’ (ELW), led by Prof. Dr Per Assmo of University West, Trollhättan.

Contact: Prof. Dr Annika Maschwitz, Centre for Teaching and Learning and Faculty 1 – School of International Business, Phone: +49 421 5905, E-Mail: annika.maschwitz@hs-bremen.de
