The exhibition in the AB Gallery of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences by students of the 6th semester shows until July 19 study projects that were created despite Corona. The interim show presents designs that were created in preparation for the structural design of the bachelor's thesis.
Students of the 6th semester (SS22) started studying architecture at the School of Architecture Bremen shortly before the Corona Pandemic. After only one semester, the studios had to be emptied in March 2020. The workshop was closed and the seminars and lectures were held online. Working together, discussing, critiquing, sketching ideas, building models, trying things out, looking over your shoulder, the human interaction; for the most part gone. Exactly everything that a study of architecture needs and consists of.
Now in preparation for the constructional elaboration of the bachelor thesis, the students had to analyze a given existing building and represent it with numerous pictograms and details. In order to check the connection between the spatial, constructive, technical and material logics, the students then had to make a facade section model in M1:25. The models made are on display in the AB Gallery until July 19. You are cordially invited to visit the exhibition!
