Getting Started with Joint Programmes: Key Steps and Considerations

Joint Programmes offer great opportunities for students and faculty alike and foster international collaboration between universities. This workshop is designed for teaching staff and programme directors who want to gain a clear overview of the development and implementation process of Joint Programmes (within STARS EU).

During the session, we will present the essential steps for setting up a Joint Programme – from initial concept development, partner selection, to formal approval. You will also learn about important support services and resources available at our alliance.

Interactive elements will be used to address specific questions and concerns of the participants.

At the end oft he workshop, participants are able to…

  • Differentiate the different options for cooperation within a joint programme
  • Identify key actors for the development of joint programmes
  • Navigate through the different phases of joint programme development

Target Group

All programme coordinators / lecturers from all faculties within the STARS EU Alliance who are involved or will be involved in Joint Programme development.

Personal Information

Dr. Jan-Eric Bartels is the coordinator of Work Package 3: Curriculum Lab of STARS EU. His focus is the internationalisation of curricula, courses and micro-credentials. 

Dr. Petra Suwalski is leading the Central Quality Management (Study Success and Internationalization Unit) at the HSB. Her work focus is on university and quality development in a national and international context.
