Arguments for your employer

Your employer will also benefit from your further education. Find arguments for financial support here.

Not only do you personally benefit from in-service training at the Graduate & Professional School, but your employer does too: you can apply the knowledge you have acquired and the new skills you have learned directly in your everyday work during the training and thus optimise your work and work processes.

    • Competences relevant to practice

As a university, a high degree of practical relevance has always been one of our characteristics. For the participants in our continuing education courses, this direct practical relevance is all the more important, as what they learn should be applied immediately in their everyday working lives. Therefore, an essential component of our continuing education courses is the involvement of teachers from the business world. They implement the applied teaching in their companies on a daily basis and can therefore teach in a clear and practical way.

    • Vision and innovation

Through practice-oriented continuing education, prospective managers develop new perspectives on problems and projects. In this way, companies obtain employees with a broader overview, even beyond their own fields of work and sectors, who are able to find and implement innovative solutions.

    • Key social competences

With our offers, you not only develop and expand your professional competences, but also specifically strengthen your social competences and skills, such as team behaviour, communication and intercultural competence.

    • Motivation and retention

An internationally recognised degree or a recognised university certificate is an attractive incentive for motivated and ambitious employees and is thus an excellent retention tool. Through in-service training, employers reward commitment and ensure the motivation and dedication of their employees.

    • Attractiveness as an employer

High-quality human resources development not only ensures a competitive edge, but is also a clear strategy for success in employer branding, recruiting and securing a location. Companies that offer applicants high-quality further education or a part-time Master's programme make their attractiveness as an employer visible and open up new perspectives in recruiting.

    • Cooperation and network

Numerous companies have already provided their junior staff with further academic and practical qualifications in the programmes of the Graduate & Professional School. Your employer can also become part of our corporate network. Possibilities for cooperation include guest lectureships, working on case studies from your company context or joint research projects.

    • More than 15 years of experience

The Graduate & Professional School has been established in academic continuing education for over fifteen years and has made a name for itself far beyond the region. Part-time continuing education programmes have always been part of our competence profile. Our part-time MBA was first offered in 1995 in cooperation with Leeeds Metropolitan University and was successfully accredited in 2001 as one of the first part-time MBA programmes in Germany. Our high quality standards in teaching, service and infrastructure set our continuing education programmes apart from the competition.

    • A direct line to the economy

The Graduate & Professional School stands for a lively dialogue between science and business. About half of the seminars are taught by experienced managers from the business world, and practical issues from the students' own professional environment are actively integrated into presentations, projects and the Master's thesis. The special closeness of the Graduate & Professional School to the economy is also expressed in the fact that a company advisory board accompanies the Graduate & Professional School and its further education programmes, in which renowned personalities from Bremen's business life are represented.

    • Accredited quality

As one of the leading providers of continuing education in Germany, the Graduate & Professional School combines the highest standards of continuing education with the proven quality of the German higher education system. As the continuing education courses were developed directly from the faculties, they are subject to regular university-wide accreditations. Our part-time Master's programmes, for example, are regularly accredited by the accreditation agency AQAS.
