Relevance to Practice

Bachelor Project
The Bachelor project is a special part of the degree course in Media Computer Science and Digital Media. A group of students and instructors work for one year on a large-scale practical task.

The project thus requires students to apply all of what they have learned. The objective is to become familiar with new territory and to collectively develop solutions, to challenge oneself. The bachelor project requires self-organisation and promotes individual engagement and individual as well as cooperative organisation within the framework of a determined area of concentration.

Bachelor projects are generally organised into phases such as problem analysis, goal setting and solution development, realisation of a prototype solution and operation as well as evaluation. The project culminates in the project report. Grading is based on conceptual, technical and design performance, the written form of the report, as well as participation in presentations and discussions.
Professional Practice Internship
The professional practice internship provides experiences that cannot be delivered authentically by a university: practical experience in the professional world, in increasingly international markets. This also serves as an organisational resource for the course of study. The goal is to promote reflection concerning professional qualifications, form of future study and career coals, and not least the effects of their work in society. It is explicitly desired that students bring practical experience gathered in this way back to the university.

In order for the internship to be recognised, students must conclude an internship agreement with an internship advisor *before* beginning their internship (see information on forms in the section "Further Information").
