When I came to Bremen in September, 2000, I could hardly speak German, hardly knew anything about the German culture, and had no idea that studying abroad could be so informative and cool.
I was well received by my student colleagues at the University right from the beginning. Being French, German course instruction was, of course, difficult for me during the first weeks, but the professors and other students were very helpful.

Since the students of the University Bremen come from all over the world, I was able to make many valuable international contacts and friendships.

The time I spent as a student at the University Bremen contributed significantly to both my professional and personal development and was a lot of fun. My expectations were not only met, but exceeded!

I wish every student a similarly positive experience.

I attended the University Bremen in the Winter semester 2001/2002 as part of the international degree course Global Management. This experience really changed me. I was nervous at the beginning among so much that was different, but then I became fascinated by the way people are. Thanks to the University’s support, I soon felt completely at home. Now I definitely want to pursue a Master at the University Bremen once I have completed my studies in Brazil.

My study of journalism at the University Bremen during the 2002 Summer semester was great and I liked the city of Bremen a lot! I found it particularly interesting to direct a film about the Werder Bremen football club and to work at “econ tec”, the magazine operated by the journalism degree course. It was an enriching experience. The theoretical seminars were also quite good.

The people – students as well as instructors – were very nice and provided me with a lot of support. In short: it was great!
