The 5th International Composium on Communication Disorders in Multilingual Populations
August 24th and 25th, 2017 in Bremen, Germany
The Multilingual and Multicultural Affairs Committee of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics (IALP) is hosting a two-day composium at the Hochschule Bremen, City University of Applied Sciences, Bremen, Germany.

The goal of this composium is to create a forum for presenting evidence that benefits researchers, educators, and speech-language therapists who provide services to migrant populations and refugees with communication disorders.

The 5th International Composium on Communications Disorders in Multilingual-Multicultural Populations will be held at the Hochschule Bremen, Neustadtswall 30, 28199 Bremen, Germany.
Registration and Check-in
The conference counter opens for check-in on
Wednesday at 12:00 hr (noon), closing on 14:00 hr
Thursday at 7:45 hr
Friday at 7:45 hr
at Hochschule Bremen, Neustadtswall 30, 28199 Bremen, AB-Building.

As registration process has been accomplished online, participants are requested to bring a copy of the bank transfer to ensure check-in in any case.

Attendees may collect their participation badge and conference bag which will include the full abstract and program book on registration / check-in.

All attendees are asked to wear their badge at all times.

The registration desk will open both conference days at 7:45 hr.
If you have booked the Mercedes Benz visit and offroad experience, starting on Wednesday at 14:00 hr at Hochschule Bremen, you must check-in on Wednesday. Please ensure you have flat or comfortable shoes, as walking will be required.
Gala Dinner
If you have booked a ticket to attend the Conference Gala Dinner at the Bremen’s Ratskeller, you are advised the dress attire is semi formal. The Gala Dinner will be sit-down four-course meal. Drinks are included with the course.
Certificate of attendance
All participants will receive their verification of attendance at the registration desk.
The official language of the conference is English.
Wi-Fi and conference network
The HSB City University of Applied Sciences is Wi-Fi enabled allowing conference participants to use a guest account in order to connect to the internet and stay in touch with their office, search for useful information and post and share new insights and information of the conference. You will receive all necessary credentials upon check-in.
The official currency in Germany is the Euro (€). You can exchange foreign currency in several banks and Currency Exchange Businesses. Bank checks are usually not accepted.
Master cards are very common, and credit cards are common in the urban areas. Shops and restaurants that normally accept credits cards display a list of these cards on their shop windows. It is advisable to carry some cash with, since for small purchases, shops do normally prefer to be paid cash.

Please note that the university’s refectory does not accept payment by credit or debit card but cash only.
