InternshipWhat did I learn? What is my studies worth? Am I prepared for the requirements of everyday work as computer scientist? Such questions bother every student and coin the technical and professional self-evaluation, which is an important factor for job hunting after graduation by the latest.
Therefore an obligatory part of the "Women's International Degree Course in Computer Science” is the internship at the seventh and final semester of the degree course. The students will be working at a company for 9 weeks. During this time they will gain experience of the everyday work as a computer scientist and can establish contacts which can become useful for their professional future. Often a topic for the following bachelor thesis comes up during the internship.
The bachelor thesis completes the studies at the "Women's International Degree Course in Computer Science” with a completed skilled work. The working time is limited to 9 weeks.
The bachelor thesis solves a problem of a practically oriented motivation with scientific methods.
A bachelor thesis can be done as group work by several students. Permitted languages are English and German.
The bachelor thesis shall combine the things the students have learned during their studies and their internship:
- conversational problem solving
- methodical scientific development of solution possibilities
- prototypical solutions by using latest tools
- testing and evaluation
- written summary of every single step with a perspective for possible following papers and developments
The internship combined with the bachelor thesis is an important possibility to develop a professional core theme for each student.
