You will work with the following book:
Netzwerk B 1.1, Klett-Verlag
The book has to be purchased by the students before the start of the course.
Topics include (amongst others):
travel, advertisements, telephoning, environment, future plans
Grammar topics include (amongst others):
conjuctive II,future I, sub-clause with da, infinitive, temporal prepositions, comparatives and superlatives
The course comprises 60 teaching hours as live sessions (6 credits). You will also use the learning platform AULIS.
This course is designed for students who have completed courses of A 2.2 level or equivalent.
intermediate use of German - target level B 1.1
Our courses refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Level B 1 is subdivided into B 1.1 and B 1.2.
At the end of the course students are expected to be able to:
- follow clearly articulated speech in everyday conversation (listening).
- demonstrate understanding of the main points in short articles about current and familiar topics (reading).
- explain and give reason for intentions, own opinion and actions as well as give detailed accounts of experiences (speaking)
- write personal letters or e-mails to friends or acquaintances asking for or giving them news and narrating events (writing).
