Advice offers

Career Service at the HSB

Applying for an internship, but how? Finished your studies and now what? The Career Service offers advice and support on everything to do with starting a career and job applications – free of charge, of course.

Career advice and CV check

People who want to apply for a job often can't see the wood for the trees. The CV doesn't work out, one's goals are slipping away and applications are only followed by rejections. We are here to help you get going!

Quick Check: the Career Service opening hours

During the semester, we offer Quick Check on Tuesdays 11-12 a.m. and Thursdays 1-2 p.m. Just come to our open office hours AB 08/AB 09 and we will be happy to answer your questions. No need to make an appointment.

During semester breaks, please arrange counselling by e-mail or with a short phone call.

Consultation dates

For a detailed counselling or CV check, we can arrange longer counselling appointments. Advice is available in German or English. Just send us an email and we will give you an appointment.

Walk and Talk: Career advice in the park

Outdoors and with sufficient distancing, also possible in Corona times: together we look for new ideas for your career planning in the fresh air and take a tour of the Neustadtswall campus. Send us an email to make an appointment.

Counselling in Corona times

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to organise face-to-face meetings in our offices, but you are welcome to make an appointment for telephone or online counselling by e-mail or to put your questions in writing. Alternatively, you can take advantage of our ‘Walk and Talk’ offers on the Neustadtswall campus – with the called for distancing.
