Die Elektromobilität befindet sich in einer entscheidenden Wachstumsphase und gilt als zentraler Baustein für die erfolgreiche Umsetzung der Mobilitätswende. Während der Fokus in der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung häufig auf großen Ladeparks und Schnellladeinfrastrukturen liegt, zeigt sich zunehmend, dass der Durchbruch nur mit einer breiten Einbindung kleiner, gewerblicher und privater Nutzer gelingen kann. Diese Nutzergruppen setzen in der Regel auf Wallboxen/Ladestationen im häuslichen oder betrieblichen Umfeld, die eine flexible und bedarfsgerechte Versorgung von Elektrofahrzeugen ermöglichen. Gerade in diesem Bereich bestehen jedoch erhebliche Hürden. Unterschiedliche Wallbox- und Ladestationen-Hersteller, vielfältige Backend- und Abrechnungssysteme sowie individuelle Anforderungen der Netzbetreiber führen zu einer fragmentierten Landschaft. Für Endkunden und kleinere Betriebe bedeutet dies, dass die Installation und Konfiguration einer Wallbox häufig komplex, zeitaufwendig und fehleranfällig sind. Die notwendige Koordination zwischen Installateuren, Anbietern und Netzbetreibern stellt viele Nutzer vor große Herausforderungen und wirkt abschreckend auf die Entscheidung, in eigene Ladeinfrastruktur zu investieren. Hier setzt das Forschungsprojekt LIAM an: Ziel ist es, die Möglichkeiten einer weitgehenden Automatisierung der Installation und Konfiguration von Wallboxen und Ladestationen durch den Einsatz von Large Language Models (LLMs) zu untersuchen. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie ein intelligentes System die heterogenen Datenquellen und Anforderungen zusammenführen kann, um Konfigurations Entscheidungen selbstständig zu treffen und damit den gesamten Prozess zu automatisieren oder zumindest erheblich zu vereinfachen.
