Hochschule Bremen - University of Applied Sciences

Course Content

The previously known field of Mechanical Engineering from Bremen University of Applied Sciences steered the way for the two-semester degree course ‘Aeronautical Management’ (MAEM) with the certification of a ‘Master of Engineering’ (M.Eng.), which commenced in the summer semester of 2004. The study course was accredited by the ‘Zentralen Evaluations- und Akkreditierungsagentur Hannover (ZEva)’ (Hannover Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency) in December 2003.

With the pre-requisite of a Diploma (from a technical college) or a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.), the Master’s Degree can be completed within one year. The Master’s certification opens the ports to a higher service.

The study course builds upon the extremely successful ‘International B.Eng. Degree in Aircraft System Technology and Management (ILST)’ of Bremen University of Applied Sciences, which received its first graduates in the spring of 1999.

On the basis of a relevant academic and aeronautical background, the know-how for management assignments in the area of air traffic, thus within airlines, air freight companies and authorities, should be acquired.
