Worldwide, tourism is one of the world’s most important industries with high growth rates and an ability for economic recovery which astonishes. The World Tourism Organization predicts further constant growth in the next few years. The demand for university graduates continues to increase correspondingly. They are employed in operations management and as executive staff.

The career openings are varied. Graduates can work in typical branches of tourism such as tour operators, travel planners, regional tourism organizations and in the hotel trade. Transport providers such as the railways, shipping companies and airlines are among the potential employers as well. Additional opportunities are provided by event, congress, conference and trade fair organizations as well as by tourism associations and consultancies.

The international and intercultural course content of the International Degree Programme in Tourism Management opens up professional opportunities for graduates of Bremen University of Applied Sciences both at home and abroad. Assistant posts in corporate management, positions in marketing and in operational product management are frequent entry positions into professional life.

In addition, the Bachelor degree enables students to take one of the ‘consecutive’ Master programmes. Bremen University of Applied Sciences offers a three-semester Master of Arts in Leisure and Tourism (MLT) and a one-year MBA programme in International Tourism Management (MTM).
