Internationality aspects
This degree course contains a semester abroad. We believe that such a semester spent studying abroad is of great advantage for the future nursing and health care managers and nursing manageresses, especially in the following areas:- The semester spent abroad gives impulses for a review and further development of theory and practice in all fields of human interaction in nursing and health care.
- Experiences gained abroad stimulate the development of key qualifications. These advance the ability to cope with the diverse and complex demands in nursing management.
- Experiences gained studying abroad further the development of intercultural competence. The service sector of nursing and health is marked by a growing Europeanization and internationalization; therefore, these experiences represent a necessary and future-oriented development of competence for nursing and health care managers and manageresses.
Furthermore, language courses are offered during the basic studies phase; sufficient knowledge of English is a prerequisite for all students.
The international orientation of this degree course not only manifests itself through the semester spent abroad but also through the integration of subjects like law in international comparison, international nursing and health care research or international aspects of quality assurance into the curricular development. Furthermore, guests from abroad are continually invited to participate in the courses as teachers and lecturers.
