The International programme in Micro- and Opto-System Technology (ISMO) is a practically oriented, interdisciplinary course of studies with engineering and scientific contents which concludes with the professionally recognized degree of Bachelor of Science. Through the modularisation of the range of courses and the application of the ECTS system its linkage to the international system of education is ensured.Excellent employment opportunities present themselves to graduates.
The profile of IPSMO is marked in particular by the broad subject knowledge, practical orientation and internationality it provides. Building on the basic knowledge of engineering acquired in the first 3 semesters, students can then specialise in the programmes Microelectronics, Photonics and Microsystems Engineering. With in part English-language courses and lectures the programme is designed to be international and with the opportunity it offers you to spend a semester abroad it gives you the opportunity to improve your possibilities in the labour market.
