Degree course outline (overview of modules)
Foundation courses (first and second semester) Besides mathematical, natural scientific and technical basic subjects, practical application of growing complexity is taught in the two-semester foundation course. Advanced (Basic) Studies (third and forth semester) The introduction to the specialised course provides a general overview of basic knowledge in all of the classical subjects within Civil Engineering The objective is to gain a basic understanding of the problems of civil engineering and the capacity to find solutions for characteristic tasks in that special area. Specialised Part of the Course (fifth and sixth semester) Following its foundation, the consequent specialised part of the course is laid out as a main course, in that further exemplary skills and methods of design are worked on. Practical Period (seventh semester) The practical period of 12 weeks follows on from the 7th semester, yet can also be completed in the 5th semester.The undergraduate thesis (planned as the final year project) in the 7th semester, completes the graduation to a Bachelor of Science.
The undergraduate examination consists of course examination performances, the Bachelor thesis and a comprehensive examination.
