Entry Requirements
Candidates need to show evidence of the following

> General university entry qualification ("Abitur") or restricted university entry qualification ("Fachhochschulreife") or classification test/special admission

> Approved initial education certificate in Speech and Language Therapy or Physiotherapy (typically at least three years full time covering theory and clinical practice) accomplished at one of our partner institutions in Bremen
> Approved initial education certificate in Speech and Language Therapy or Physiotherapy. Applicants will need to provide evidence of equivalent competences by means of a portfolio. Further information on the portfolio requirements will be provided via e-mail.

Course Duration
> The course is designed and intended for certificate holders in speech and language therapy and physiotherapy, that is a 3 year full-time initial education, offering another 1.5 years of academic qualification. That is, initial education and study course sum up to a total of 4.5 years.
> The course encompasses 6 semesters, whereas 3 semesters will be recognized after having accomplished initial education training (90 credits). Another 3 semesters (1.5 years, 90 credits) will be accomplished at the City University of Applied Sciences Bremen.

    Course Overview
    This professionally accredited degree equips qualified speech and language therapist and physiotherapists for a highly rewarding career in the modernized health service that can significantly improve patient’s quality of life.
    We take a student-centered approach to the development of knowledge, thinking and professional identity and inter-professional competences.
    We use interdisciplinary and disciplinary lectures, seminars, problem based learning and case-based teaching to prepare students for their future career, whereas research shapes the course content and makes sure that students have the chance to cover the most up-to-date theories and discoveries.
    The degree program delivers more advanced topics such as research methods and statistics, evidence based practice, diversity and clinical intercultural competences.
