Hochschule Bremen - University of Applied Sciences

Toward the end of 2004, the largest German universities of applied sciences came together under the designation UAS7 as part of a collaborative effort: the Bremen University of Applied Science, the University of Applied Science for Business, Berlin, the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg, as well as the Universities of Applied Sciences in Cologne, Munich, Osnabrück and Münster. Together we operate a liaison office in New York, within the framework of the DAAD German House. The office’s objective is to build a network of partners drawn from the fields of science and business, as well as to support student exchanges with North American universities.
We maintain academic exchange programmes with our university partners in the U.S:  Drexel University in Philadelphia, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of New Orleans.  
The consortium currently offers summer and Master courses in English, exchange programmes with over 40 North American partner universities, as well as the Faculty Exchange Programme.

Ms Kim Sims is the Director of the UAS7 office in New York.

Current Projects:

• Study & Internship Programme Germany, SIP, offers North American students scholarships for a single semester of study at one of the UAS7 universities and supports applications for internship semesters in Germany.

• Support for the initiative German Foreign and Partner Schools, which fosters cooperation with German schools in North America.
