B. A New Type of University
As a new type of university, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences is developing an scientific culture that enables active participation in the structuring of processes of social change at the regional, national and international level.1. The future development of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences is fully integrated in the larger process of the development of scientific potential and the recognition of universities of applied science within the context of higher education politics.
2. In light of this, and the growing importance of market and competitive mechanisms at the national and international levels, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences will develop itself into a new type of university. This development takes place with the knowledge that a second type of university is possible, in addition to the classical German university.
