The Bremen University of Applied Sciences: Mission Statement
BUSINESS UNIVERSITY – UNIVERSITY BUSINESS Higher education institutions, including technical universities, have the mandate to provide the younger generation with an education that will enable them to meet societal challenges and successfully pursue their own individual paths to personal happiness. In order to continue to meet this responsibility toward young people today, in a more competitive academic landscape, universities must identify ways to manage their resources in a more efficient and targeted manner. Agreement on goals and methods to be used in attaining these goals is an important first step. Mission statements developed by the universities and implemented in both content and structure constitute an aide in the decision making process for student customers and their parents. They also elucidate the complex structures, functions and areas of responsibility confronting the stakeholder in the academic landscape, making this information more transparent and rational. This may correct the often lamented situation of teaching, study and research, making it better and more efficiently structured than before.By implementing the mission statement, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences will have the opportunity to appear prominently in the international academic landscape as well as to successfully compete for students.
If every member of our University does their best, we will easily reach this goal and everyone involved will experience the feeling of participating in a good thing. All our lives will be enriched.
