Installation of a 802.1x-connection to the WLAN(Wireless Lan)-Network (eduroam) of the Hochschule Bremen

The access method of the 802.1X enables you, to get access to the campus network and to the internet from the WLAN without having to use additional software. In modern operating systems the support for the technic 802.1X is often already installed, so that only the access has to be configurated.
Requirements:
The network interface card should correspond to today’s standard IEEE 802.11a/g/n (54 Mb/s - 600Mb/s). Other network interface cards will not be supported.
For the TCP/IP protocol the setting must be "obtain IP-address automatically". No manual entries should be made, as protocol settings, such as IP-number, Gateway etc. occur dynamically (DHCP).

Android - Warning
For safety reasons, the use of the Telekom Root CA 2 certificate is compulsory. Download Telekom Root CA2 in .pem format here:

There is no automatic set-up for Windows XP or Android version less than 4.3. If you need help for that, please contact our helpdesk.
